Simon Pengelly graduated from Rycotewood College and Kingston Polytechnic in 1985 and 1988, respectively. He set up his London-based studio in 1993, launching a small furniture collection at London’s 100% Design in 1996, where many of the pieces were taken on by British brands. His longstanding and extensive association with the British furniture industry makes him one of the most important contributors to the British furniture industry over the last 25 years. Simon’s understanding of how people use and relate to the objects around them and his material and process-driven approach to creating objects with craft credentials and „soul“ drive his work.
